Here is a little more information about coaching in general and how we'll work together.

My only purpose is to help, guide and support you to live the life your deserve, your best life, and be the best you can be.

What is coaching?

The short version is that as your coach I’ll help you imagine greater possibilities for yourself, then work with to you achieve it.  

My job is to open a conversation about the future life you want for yourself then help you in whatever way possible to achieve the results you want.

Coaching is future focused and all about you as an individual.  I’ll help you to identify your talents and enable you to harness them to create a path to reaching your full potential.

As a coach I need to be a blend of teacher and guide, help you analyse your life through asking impactful questions and part therapist or counsellor.

I’ll walk beside you on your path to your future self, your best life.  And when you need me to, I’ll be out front cutting through the barriers so you can see beyond them.

Transformational coaching

Transformational may sound a little out there or even radical but its just a way of saying you want to make real, sustainable changes in your life as a whole and not just parts of it.

Of course you won’t be changing your life beyond recognition, in fact you may not change the outward aspects of your life much at all.  But you will change.  

We will dig deeper into your behaviour patterns, responses and the internal stories we all tell ourselves that frame our reality, our world in a particular way.

You’ll learn about your current mindset and how to change it to achieve your goals, live your life with purpose and be who you really want to be.

Life Coaching

Much like transformational coaching we’ll work to identify what changes you know you want and need to make.  I’ll help you achieve your goals, overcome challenges and obstacles and identify  your inner resources so you can re-engineer your life your way.

Of course there are strong similarities across all types of coaching and I have a wide range of tried and tested methodologies that will guarantee the results you ready to reach for.

But your journey will be unique and I’ll be here to guide you.  It’s a little like the techniques I have are a car, where you are the driver and I’m the navigator (or your onboard GPS).

Stress and Anxiety

Even without recent events our lives are every more complicated and we live in a rapidly changing world.

We can become overwhelmed by an endless list of competing priorities.

Using stress and anxiety management coaching techniques we’ll look into every aspect of your life.  Work, caring responsibilities, financial, emotional, physical well-being, and your current mind sets.

We’ll work together not only to develop positive coping strategies but also to address deeper issues and make any long lasting changes you need to achieve a reduction or even elimination of stress and anxiety in your life.

Mindfulness, relaxation and even a little hypnotherapy (if that would work for you) are all key elements in creating the freedom from stress and anxiety in the moment so we can work on finding a powerful way to shift focus.

Recovering from the Trauma of the Pandemic

Burnout and traumatic stress connected with Covid-19 can have serious implications for some, but will have adversely affected everyone’s mental health and well-being.

Burnout is a syndrome of emotional exhaustion, depersonalised, and reduced personal accomplishment that usually occur’s with individuals doing ‘people-work’.  However, living with the Pandemic  has opened us all up to emotional burnout.  Almost all of us have experienced  feelings of isolation and loneliness in some form;  become depressed, experienced high levels of sustained anxiety and/or general lacklusterness.

You may also be experiencing secondary traumatic stress through our connection with others who have had to deal with illness, loss, ongoing sickness due to Covid.  This causes emotional distress and feeds into our feelings of lack of agency, or our own fear.

We will take a trauma informed approach throughout our work but particularly when dealing with stress, anxiety and the effects of living through a Pandemic

Women’s Leadership & Executive Coaching

We all need to leaders in our own lives, both at home and at work.  I have been involved in the development of women in leadership, including coaching and mentoring, both within the organisations I have led and within the wider charity sector.

Transitions, times of intense stress, anxiety or identifying you need to address your general wellness

There are times in our life when we are stretched thin by the challenges we face. Like a rubber band we can feel that tension and the fear that we may snap or break under the strain.
